Newcastle Cross Country Club's race at Peace Park in Weston on 5 July 2025 is the part of series of races in the Hunter Region of NSW.

The Peace Park starts on Cessnock Road, and paved paths wander past ponds and playgrounds, before passing underneath the road and emerging in Chinaman's Hollow, on the other side of the road. Chinaman's Hollow is a well-known historic site, and used to be used as a market garden. Today it's a quiet park with natural swamp areas and ponds.

You do need to be a club member to participate in these events; membership is open to anyone with online membership registration to be completed by 12 midnight Friday before Saturday run.
