The Herald Sun/Transurban Run for the Kids is a community event in Melbourne on 29 March 2026, raising funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital.

The unique 14.4km course route gives entrants the once-a-year opportunity to run or walk over the Bolte Bridge and through the Domain Tunnel. The short course option is 4.7km and also includes the Bolte Bridge in the route.

This event is held annually in March/April and raises funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital's Good Friday Appeal.

Location map

The long course starts on Footscray Road, Docklands and finishes near the corner of Batman Hill Drive. The short course starts on Harbour Esplanade near the corner of LaTrobe Street and finishes adjacent to Docklands Park.
