Follow event Run/Walk Off Road/Trail Dog Friendly/Canicross

The Strickland Stinger on 2 August 2026 is a canicross event held in the Strickland State Forest, on the Ridge to Rainforest trail.

Canicross is a sport where you run with your dog (as a team) while attached to them with a specialised harness, bungee cord and running belt.

The short course is approximately 4.5km and the long course is approximately 9km, both starting and finishing at the Banksia Picnic area (top car park).

The terrain is single-track trail. It's a roller coaster run that takes you on a journey from the bush down to the rainforest, and back up to the bush, with plenty of elevation.

This event is organised by The Canicross Club. Refer to event website for associated rules.
