The Territory Wildlife Park - Great Train Race & Fun Run is on 11 April 2026 in Berry Springs, Darwin.
The course is a 4.5km loop around the wildlife park, with an aim to beat the park train's lap time.
The first event is a relay race, where teams of 4 runners all board the train and get dropped off at their designated starting point around the park loop. Once all runners are in position, the train will take a short head start before the relay begins. Each runner will complete their section of the course as they attempt to beat the train’s lap time. A second train will follow behind the relay, collecting each runner after their leg and returning them to the Main Station.
The second event is the individual runner race. As with the relay, the train will depart ahead of the group. Runners then complete the full park loop, racing to finish before the train’s return.
Awards and timing medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in both the relay race and the single runner race. Park entry is not included in the event registration fee.
