Wararda is an Adventure Race on 9 September 2023 located in and around the city of Whyalla, South Australia.

The event planned for 9 September 2023 has been cancelled.

Competitors navigate their way in teams of 2 around a course over various stages (including paddling, mountain biking and trekking) to find as many checkpoints/controls as possible in the shortest amount of time. There are 3 courses to choose from to suit all abilities.

The Short Wararda includes up to 650m of paddling in a sheltered marina, 7km of trekking around a street orienteering course and 15km of mountain biking on an easy street course at the eastern end of Whyalla. Basic street map navigation required.

The Half Wararda includes up to 5km of relatively sheltered paddling, 35km of mountain biking and 14km of trekking. Intermediate navigational skills will help.

​​The Full Wararda includes about 10km of exposed open water ocean paddling, 85km of mountain biking and up to 25km of trekking. Competent navigational skills will help.

Short: ~650m paddle + 7K trek + 15K MTB
Half: ~5K paddle + 35K MTB + 14K trek
Full: ~10K paddle + 85K MTB + 25K trek
