The World Athletics Cross Country Championships Bathurst from 17 to 19 February 2023 features a range of public events where everyday runners can compete over the actual World Cross Country Championship Course.
The Bathurst course is held within the Mount Panorama precinct. It’s a sacred space for Australian motorsport fans, which will be transformed into a cross country playground.
Public events include School Challenges, Little Athletics, Para program, National Clubs Championships through to the Golden Ticket - a once in a lifetime opportunity for athletes from across Oceania to gain a wildcard into the actual World Athletics Cross Country Championships and run with the best in the world.
These events give everyday runners the opportunity to experience first hand what the worlds best distance runners will experience - the hills, the boomerang, the billabong, the vineyard and that glorious World Championship feeling in a once in a lifetime opportunity.
