Bike Road Race Multi Day / Stage Race

Banish the Black Dog is a charity bike ride, promoted by the Rotary Club of Townsville Central to raise awareness of mental health issues in the community, and to raise funds to aid research into the causes and treatments of mental health disorders.

The ride's major donation recipient is Australian Rotary Health, the largest non government mental health research funding organization in Australia. They also support local initiatives in the treatment and support of those suffering mental illnesses.

The ride caters to all riders from relative beginners to experienced with a range of group ride speeds to choose from to suit your own personal capability. Each speed group has their own support vehicle.
