The Bloody Long Walk in Townsville on Sunday, 29 July 2018 is a 35km challenge to cure mitochondrial disease (mito) from Pioneer Park in Thuringowa Central to The Strand in Townsville.
The Bloody Long Walk is not being held in Townsville in 2019.
The course follows the stunning Ross River with amazing water views every step of the way, and passes some of Townsville's gorgeous landmarks including Mount Stuart, The Palmetum and Castle Hill Lookout. Enjoy this spectacular scenery whilst raising vital funds to help find a cure for mito.
Mito is a debilitating and potentially fatal genetic disorder that impairs the body's ability to convert food into the energy needed to power muscles and major organs; 1 in 200 people are at risk of developing mito.
