This year's Standard distance triathlon is a National Standard Triathlon Qualifying race and Age Group ITU World Championship Qualifying Race. Your finishing position will determine the number of selection points that you receive giving you points to represent Australia at Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Promising a huge day of racing with several events to choose from, this is the perfect chance to either tackle a tri for the first time or gain some points as part of the 16/17 tri-series.
There are Enticer (200 metre swim, 10km bike and 2km run), Enforcer (400m, 13.5km, 4km), Sprint (750m, 20km, 5km) and Standard (1.5km, 40km, 10km) triathlon events, as well as two kids Miniman triathlons: 50m / 2.5km / 500m for 7 to 9 year olds, and 150m / 5km / 1km for 10 to 11 year olds.
