The staff of the Casterton Memorial Hospital in Casterton, Victoria is holding a Fun Run, Memory Walk or Jog on Sunday, 19 March 2017 at Island Park incorporating the Kelpie Walking Trail.
The aim of this activity is to heighten public awareness of Dementia and incorporating the 5 steps to a healthy brain.
Choose from 3 distances: 1 lap - 2.5kms for fun; 2 laps - 5kms for fitness; and 4 laps - 10kms Fun Run for competition. There will be warm up exercises with Jan Murphy starting at 10am. The cost is $15 for adults, or corporate team of 5 for $60. Ages 6-16 gold coin donation. Children under 5 FREE. All profits from the memory walk and jog will enhance Casterton Memorial Hospital’s continued ability to provide vital support services and equipment.
Also at the venue will be Friends of the Community Marketeers selling food and drinks. All of Casterton traders, farmers markets, schools, sporting and service groups are invited to join this day by participating in the event either as individuals or as groups.
