Larapinta Trail 160 starting from Alice Springs, NT
The Larapinta Trail 160 is the inaugural race in the Elements Ultra Running Series, be staged in one of Australia's most remote locations.
The event scheduled to start June 3rd 2016 has been cancelled.
The event provides full support for all runners and support and pacing runners, including trail head support stations, on-trail support and around the clock access to medical specialists.
Located only a few minutes out of the Alice township, the Larapinta Trail is a 223 kilometre (139 miles) long walking track that follows the West McDonnell Ranges. Heading west from Alice Springs, the trail winds its way through rugged mountain tops, shallow creek beds and rare native desert flora.
This event starts at the Alice Springs Telegraph Station Historical Reserve and finishes at the Serpentine Chalet Dam.
