March Against Melanoma in Melbourne, Victoria
The March Against Melanoma™ aims to raise awareness, and promote the importance of early detection & prevention against skin cancer and melanoma.
The event also provides a supportive network for all those affected by skin cancer or melanoma and aims to raise funds for researchm taking place around the Tan Track, starting at Kings Domain.
Participants are encouraged to sign up to the 8km run (or 2km and 4km walks). The March was started by Louise White in 2007 after her daughter Emily died from melanoma just after her 27th birthday. The event is organised by the Skin & Cancer Foundation.
This event starts and finishes from from the Pillars of Wisdom in the Kings Domain Gardens along Alexandra Avenue.
