The Mooloolaba Swim Festival in Queensland offers two long course ocean swims over two days along with a heap of great festival events for the whole family in 2019.
The 2.5km swim is a classic point-to-point ocean swim, from Alexandra Headland to Mooloolaba Beach (A2M), starting at Alex Beach and following the headland around to Mooloolaba Beach, finishing in front of the famous Loo-with-a-view.
Beginning at Mooloolaba's South-Eastern end, the One Mile course follows an M shaped path north towards the finish line. The first turn is located directly out from the start near the Mooloolah river mouth. Midway, the course brings swimmers back towards the breakers then out again to the final turn.
The Half Mile joins the Mile at the half way course at the halfway mark and round the final turn before hitting the sand for a sprint to the finish.
