Newcastle Cross Country Club's race at Richmond Vale Railway Museum on Saturday, 21 July 2018 is the sixteenth in a series of races between April and September in the Hunter Region of NSW.

The Richmond Vale Railway Museum is a volunteer non-profit organization, formed in 1979 with the aim of preserving the Railway and Mining Heritage of J&A Brown and the Hunter Valley.

You do need to be a club member to participate in these events; membership is open to anyone subject to completing an application form and paying a fairly minimal registration fee. Either join online beforehand or on race day for a slightly higher fee.

The Richmond Vale Railway Museum is located in the old Richmond Main Colliery site, Main Road 135, Leggett's Drive, Richmond Vale 4kms south of Kurri Kurri. It is best to travel via Kurri Kurri or Freemans Waterhole.
