The Terry Fox Run is a 3km, 5km and 10km non-competitive fun run/walk on Sunday, 17 November 2019 in Meadowbank, NSW to raise money for the Children's Medical Research Institute.
The event is about raising awareness of the great achievements of Terry Fox and for the community to get together to participate and have fun. Have a cup of coffee and walk around Meadowbank with fellow City of Ryde residents, and be a part of something special.
Terry Fox was diagnosed with cancer in 1978 and his right leg was amputated. In 1980 he ran 5,373 kms on one leg to raise money for cancer research. Unfortunately the cancer returned, so he could not complete the entire course he set out to do. He is a legend and a great role model for our kids.
