The Wings for Life World Run is a global charity running event around the world on Sunday, 7 May 2017 (Australian time), with the The Australian event starting from Patterson Reserve in Hawthorn East.

All runners start at the same time with no finish line; when the catcher car overtakes, the runner finishes their race. When they set off (30 minutes after the runners), the catcher cars will do 15km/h. This will increase periodically, at exactly the same time all over the world.
