Sheffield runners defy cancellation and roadblocks to finish half-marathon
In a slightly farcial situation at the Sheffield Half Marathon in the UK over the weekend, event organisers cancelled the race just before it was due to start because not enough water for the aid stations turned up. The runners ran the race anyway, and the people of Sheffield handed out water and jelly babies, turning it into a true community event. Read about it here.
