Plan trumps appetite for marathon fueling
Recently, a group of Swedish researchers did a fluid and carb study in the real world - at the 2013 Copenhagen Marathon. Their main finding was that those who followed a specified fueling plan ran almost 11 minutes faster than runners of similar ability who consumed whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted during the race. I include in this newsletter a list of the more important updates such as date changes, cancellations or late additions to the calendar. Late additions are events which will take place in the next two to three weeks and have only just been added to the website.

Date changes/corrections
- The Bravehearts Fun Run in Darwin has changed from August 31st to September 7th
- The Orange Running Festival has changed from 21/22 February to 28 Feb/01 March 2015

Late additions
- Glenorchy Fun Run in Glenorchy, Tasmania on July 20th

Other updates
- Sri Chinmoy Sydney race 9 on 12 Oct 2014 has changed from 16K, 9K, 4K Trail Runs at Garigal National Park to 21.1K, 10K, 5K Trail Runs at Royal National Park
