The running event where people don't actually come to run
mypineappleblog writes: "It might surprise you to know that the number 1 reason that more than 200 runners come to Albert Park Lake every week to complete the 5km parkrun course has absolutely nothing to do with running at all... what keeps Melbournians and visitors ... coming back to inflict what many see as torture upon themselves at 8am every Saturday, is the people." Recent updates
To find out what's been recently updated, check the website homepage regularly. I include in this newsletter a list of the more important updates such as date changes, cancellations or late additions to the calendar. Late additions are events which will take place in the next two to three weeks and have only just been added to the website.

Late additions
- Townsville Urban Adventure Series, returning on February 4th
- Sydney Striders 10K Series, returning February 7th

Date changes / corrections
- The next event in the Yumigo Summer Trail Running Series at O'Halloran Hill is on Feburary 14th, not the 15th as I'd originally listed it. I'm not sure if the date has changed since I listed it, or if I had the date down wrong in the first place.

- Point Walter Fun Run in Perth on February 22nd has been cancelled

== Until next week ==

Have a great running week!

All options are inclusive except for the kids, women only and wheelchair options. For example, choosing "On Road", "Off Road", "Short", "NSW" and "ACT" will find on and and off road short distance races in NSW and ACT. Adding "Kids" would limit those results to only events which also have a kids event.
