Tips and advice on how to go running with your dog
I've run very little since I DNFd at this year's Hillary Ultra, and what got me out running the most was my dog's need for excercise. This article at attendly offers some advice for running with dogs, starting by asking if your dog could be your running partner; which dog breeds are best; thinking for two; what affects you affects your dog; and being considerate of other runners (walkers too!).

The weekly long run is a staple of any good training plan, with marathoners typically working up to a run of 20 miles in preparation for the distance. Dinner Plain Mile High Trail Run Competition
Go in the draw for your chance to win a a free entry to the Dinner Plain Mile High Trail Run in Victoria on November 22nd. There are 32km, 21km, 10km and 5km events. This competition runs until August 23rd, with the winner drawn the following day. Enter competition.

I include in this newsletter a list of the more important updates such as date changes, cancellations or late additions to the calendar. Late additions are events which will take place in the next two to three weeks and have only just been added to the website.
- Take a Hike in Brisbane has changed (again) from September 20th to October 11th
- The second Fun Run Pink in Sydney in the 2015/16 series has changed from March 20th to April 3rd
- Sutherland 2 Surf in Sutherland, NSW has changed from July 17th to 24th
- Coast to Kosci is on December 11th, not the 4th as I had it originally listed
- Mt Haig Trail Marathon in Queensland on Sunday has been cancelled
- The Bribie Bolt in Queensland on August 23rd (Sunday next week)
