Tips and advice on how to go running with your dog
I've run very little since I DNFd at this year's Hillary Ultra, and what got me out running the most was my dog's need for excercise. This article at attendly offers some advice for running with dogs, starting by asking if your dog could be your running partner; which dog breeds are best; thinking for two; what affects you affects your dog; and being considerate of other runners (walkers too!).

How to master the long run when training for ultras
The weekly long run is a staple of any good training plan, with marathoners typically working up to a run of 20 miles in preparation for the distance. But when the distances you're training for are unprecedented for your body - 50K, 50 miles, 100K or even 100 miles - how far, exactly, should your longest runs be? Alex Kurt discusses this here at Trail Runner Mag.

10 things that give runners the reputation of crazy
Beth at Shut Up + Run has compiled a list of 10 things that normal people think are crazy, including "paying $60 to $100 so we can wake up at the ass crack of dawn, run a race and get a dry bagel at the end". Check them all out here and be sure to read people's additions in the comments section.

Four fast speed workouts for any runner
"Research suggests that 30-second to five-minute bursts of intense exercise interspersed with rest periods will yield unique physiological changes - from faster fat loss and better blood sugar control to improved blood vessel function - that slow runs cannot deliver as efficiently." Find out more here at Runner's World, along with the 4 workouts.

Leah's running story
"5 years ago I WAS NOT A RUNNER. I was overweight and suffering from a host of health problems - despite actually being a regular gym goer and quite fit. I was fit, but fat" Read the rest of Leah's inspirational story here, which starts with her jogging, wheezing and sitting her way through a 3km run and finishing with great success at the London Marathon.

All options are inclusive except for the kids, women only and wheelchair options. For example, choosing "On Road", "Off Road", "Short", "NSW" and "ACT" will find on and and off road short distance races in NSW and ACT. Adding "Kids" would limit those results to only events which also have a kids event.
