How getting shot during a marathon made the "Bullet Man" a better runner
Dennis Rainear was 10 miles into the Grand Valley Marathon when something struck the top of his head and nearly knocked him over. Amazingly enough, he'd been shot in the head but didn't realise and still managed to finish the marathon. He believes that having been shot in the head while running made him a better runner. Why men quit and women don't
This year’s Boston Marathon with its horizontal rain and freezing temperatures was an example of women's ability to persevere in exceptionally miserable circumstances. In good weather, men typically drop out of this race at lower rates than women do, but this year, women fared better. - Sydney Duathlon has changed from 15 July to 25 August
- Scrub Runner Trail Run & Dirt Wars Survivor are confirmed as 25 & 26 August; these were originally provisionally scheduled for 22 & 23 September but changed to a clash of dates
- Bellarine Rail Trail Run has changed from 16 September to 12 August
- Go the Extra Mile was postponed on 14 April due to extreme weather, and has now been re-scheduled for 26 May
