Part of wanting approval is just human nature, but it can become unhealthy when you become distracted or feel pressure when you have a big event. Mental game coach Dr Patrick Cohn looks at how worrying too much about what others think not only distracts you from performing in the moment, but it also can cause you to worry about what others think in this article at Training Peaks.
Why you should be skeptical about your wrist-based heart rate
A lot of running watches these days come with heart rate monitors that either work from a strap worn on your chest, or using a wrist based LED. Coach David Roche takes a look at how both work and the possible inaccuracies when using a wrist-based monitor in this article at Trail Runner Magazine.
