The annual Birdsville Races Fun Run on 3 September 2026 starts from the race course into Birdsville, and is part of the Birdsville Races weekend.

The 5.25km event is open to walkers, fun runners and serious runners alike. The course terrain is varied including dirt, concrete and bitumen.

Participants are encouraged to create a fundraising page and seek sponsorship and support the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
