The Bloody Long Walk in Newcastle on Sunday, 28 July 2019 is a 35km challenge to cure mitochondrial disease (mito) from Belmont to Newcastle Beach.

Take in breathtaking views of Newcastle and its gorgeous nature reserve and follow the coastline with stunning ocean views up to the iconic Newcastle Beach. Enjoy this spectacular scenery whilst raising vital funds to help find a cure for mito.

Mito is a debilitating and potentially fatal genetic disorder that impairs the body's ability to convert food into the energy needed to power muscles and major organs; 1 in 200 people are at risk of developing mito.
