The Canberra Runners Half Marathon on 25 May 2025 features a beautiful and fast course in the heart of Canberra.
The 21.1km race starts and finishes in Lennox Gardens and follows a scenic, undulating course around the West Basin of Lake Burley Griffin. following the paths around the west basin of Lake Burley Griffin on beautiful Ngunnawal land. The route offers views of Australia’s national landmarks including Government House, Parliament House and the National Museum.
You will run a path less travelled, through a spectacular cork plantation, eucalypt and pine forests and close to exotic animals at the Canberra Zoo and Aquarium. Participants must be 16 years+.
The 2025 event also includes a 10km race. The route starts on Flynn Drive heading north, and joins the Half Marathon course before Commonwealth Bridge, with a turnaround point near the Half Marathon 16km distance. Participants must be at least 15 years of age and be able to complete the run in less than 80 minutes (to avoid congestion at the turnaround point for the 10km).
There is also a 1.6km run for children aged 12 years and under, held in Lennox Gardens on the afternoon before the main events.
