The Sun Herald City2Surf in Sydney, NSW
The Sun Herald City2Surf Sydney is an annual 14km race from Hyde Park in Sydney's CBD to the finish at Bondi Beach.
This event was first run in 1971 with 2,000 entrants and reached a record 64,713 entrants in 2007. The new "back of the pack" start group was added in 2010 and the event now attracts over 80,000 participants each year.
Thie City 2 Surf starts at the intersection of Park St and College St, alongside Hyde Park in Sydney's CBD before heading up William St and through the tunnel at Kings Cross. The finish line is on Queen Elizabeth Drive at the southern end of Bondi Pavilion.
