Darkness to Daylight is a symbolic 110km run from Wednesday, 29 May to Thursday, 30 May 2019 with each kilometre representing the 110 lives lost to domestic and family violence (DFV) in the event’s first year.
The challenge is held annually at South Bank Parklands during Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month. Participants can run the full 110km individually or take on the challenge as a team. Alternatively, there is a 10km and 3km run in the morning, giving everyone an opportunity to take part.
In 2018, there were over 2,300 people take on the challenge, with most people getting involved through their workplace.
