The Elephant Trail Race (ETR) is from 17 to 19 July 2026 at the Cairncross State Forest in Port Macquarie, NSW.
The event follows a 25 - 27km course, with approximately 1455m elevation per lap. The 217km & 100 mile distances start on Friday night, Saturday includes the full 100km course, 50km course and a 5km distance. Sunday has 25km, 13km and kids' trail races.
There is also a 100km Stage Race which completes the distance over 3 days and a 75km Stage Race over 2 days - both miss the infamous 'Death Valley' section of the course.
The ETR Race is only a short distance from Port Macquarie, Wauchope and Telegraph Point in the beautiful Hastings Area. All racing will take place in Cairncross State Forest. You will travel through the State Forest and NSW Crown Lands and land of the traditional owners, the Birpai People.
