The Great North Walk Ultras on Saturday, 12 September 2020 run along The Great North Walk on a route primarily on foot tracks and fire-trails.
The Great North Walk is a 250km walking track that runs between Sydney and Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia. It was opened in the Australian Bicentennial year of 1988 and passes through some of Australia's most outstanding scenery.
The Great North Walk Ultras (GNW Ultras), organized by the Terrigal Trotters running club for the first time in 2005 and consists of four trail races - 100 Miles, 100 Kilometres, 50 Miles and 50 Kilometres. Historically the race has taken place along The Great North Walk starting from Teralba on Lake Macquarie and finishing at various locations along the route depending on race distance.
