The Hervey Bay 50 Triathlon on 21 November 2026 is held on the day before the premier event, the Hervey Bay 100.

The race consists of a 1km swim, 40km bike and 9km run. The swim leg is a 1 lap swim off Scarness foreshore; the bike utilises a 20km loop of the Esplanade between Torquay and Gatakers Bay. The run is on a 6km loop along Hervey Bay’s scenic Esplanade pathway between the Hervey Bay Sailing Club at Torquay and Seafront Oval.

This event is run by the Hervey Bay Triathlon Club and is part of their Hundy Festival.
