Hume and Hovell Ultra
Saturday, 10 October 2026
Henry Angel Trackhead, Tumbarumba, NSW
The Hume & Hovell Ultra on 10 October 2026 in Tumbarumba, NSW, utilises sections of the historic Hume & Hovell Walking Track.
The track follows the route taken by explorers Hamilton Hume and William Hovell on their 1824 expedition to Port Phillip Bay. There are 50km and 100km ultramarathon distances, a 22km Half Marathon and a 11km trail run to choose from; the 100km can be run solo or as part of a team relay.
The track is a mixture of constructed walking track and fire trails. The highest point is over 1200 metres in elevation, with many scenic natural attractions along the course including Paddys River Dam, alpine snow gums, and Mannus Lake.
The event is now organised by members of the Tumut Trotters Running Club and is supported by the Australian Ultra Runners Association Inc (AUTRA).
