The Ireland Funds Australia Global 5K run/walk in Brisbane on 21 September 2024 is based at South Bank Park.

The event joins the South Bank parkrun with the meeting point at the Riverfront Clem Jones Promenade next to the BBQ picnic area.

The event is part of a unique Global 5K fundraising run held in cities around the world. The 2024 Australian Global 5K supports the work of Irish Support Agency NSW, Irish Australian Support & Resource Bureau VIC and Irish Australian Support Association QLD in Australia and Belvedere Youth Club in Ireland.
