The Kangaroo Island Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K, on 23 August 2026 was created to showcase one of Australia's best kept secrets.

Locals call it "Ki". Kangaroo Island is located 14km off the coast of South Australia and is just 2-hours from the beautiful city of Adelaide. It is home to an abundance of native Australian wildlife, pristine beaches, soaring cliffs and breath-taking ocean sunsets.

The marathon course route is located in the heart of Flinders Chase National Park. The route carves its way through the heart of a shutdown Flinders Chase National Park. Runners will be inspired by post-bushfire regenerating flora and fauna, undulating roads and trails, an exposed coastal section with views to the powerful Southern Ocean and a boardwalk leading to the iconic Remarkable Rocks.
