Smurf's Backyard Ultra starting on 25 October 2025 is a last one standing endurance event set in tropical Cairns, Far North Queensland, Australia.

The course traverses 6.7km of the famous Smithfield Mountain Bike Trails, with runners tackling a lap on the hour, every hour, until they can no longer continue.

This event also includes the Mini Backyard - an option for up to 6 laps for those not planning on going long.

Distances/Events

Full BYU: 1 x 6.7K per hour - Last one standing format
Mini BYU: 1 x 6.7K per hour - up to 6 laps

The event is based at the Smithfield Mountain Bike Park Trail head, McGregor Road.
