This week's newsletter has interesting articles, discounts for premium members, cancellation of the Thunderbolt Classic Trail Run & Tulip Time Mile, a date correction for the Outback to the Stack Running Festival, and late addition of the Victorian Duathlon Series.

Hills and stairs: technique and training tips
The Body Mechanic takes a look at Ultra Trail Australia and how the courses are tough, with a lot of climbing (which isn't just exclusive to UTA, of course) and has some tips about training for hills and stairs.
Ian Cornelius dies aged 78
Well known ultra marathon runner and events organiser Ian Cornelius died last week, and the Gold Coast Bulletin has a tribute to him here. Ian was often in contact with me via email about the events he was organising, and was always very supportive of the work I do on the running calendar websites. A wonderful man who will be missed by many.
